Daily.co.uk

Abby Hardoon and Marcus Lauder have teamed up again to found Daily.co.uk, sharing their experience of the hosting industry and their determination to offer better quality and value for money hosting services with an honest, no nonsense approach.

They had previously founded Host Europe PLC (formerly trading as Magic Moments Internet), back in 1996. From there on, Host Europe PLC became the UK’s market leader in hosting to small and medium sized businesses with almost 1 million accounts by 2004. Abby served as CEO of Host Europe PLC until its sale to PIPEX Communications Ltd for a record £31 million in early 2004.

At Daily.co.uk both founders have come together with a new team that has previously built some of the most successful market leading brands and products, brands such as 123-reg, Dedicated Servers, Magic Moments, and Webfusion.

Over the last decade the team has brought innovative Internet hosting services to the UK market and through efficient and quality systems was able to continually bring the cost of hosting down to the affordable levels that the market currently enjoys.

Daily.co.uk was born thanks to a team that lives and breathes hosting.

Absolute garbage. Sites don’t load, are down more than I’ve ever experienced in my life (about 5 times in the last 7 weeks), php driven sites don’t work, they don’t have the capacity hence slow sites, etc, etc, etc.

Avoid like the plague and pay for a proper webhost.

They offer you “Free” services that become chargeable after 12 months. In my case amounting to more than double the charges for the services I had actually ordered. When you report this to them they simply tell you it’s all in our terms and conditions which in fairness to them it is but still rather questionable practice.

A few years ago I changed from using 123-reg to Daily for my client’s hosting needs. I have never regretted this decision. They provide a top notch service and all my queries have been handled in timely fashion by knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. On top of this they also provide a good affiliation scheme which is working for me from a business perspective. Quality this high is sadly lacking in many organisations. Long may it continue.

Daily started off ok but after a while their services became unreliable. For example today (5th August 2011) they allowed a 3rd party (yes a 3rd party!) onto their systems during a normal online day, who then brought down their servers hosting their Windows VPS offerings. The servers have now been down for over 7 hours and Daily can’t say when or even if they will be able to bring them back online.

Come on Daily get back to what you WERE - a good & affordable hosting company.

I host my VPS with Daily.co.uk for about 2 years now. Their features are OK, their support is OK, Value for Money is good but extremely unstable. They always have status updates of downtime and then if the VPS is frozen - you have no access at all! You have to wait like 48 hours for them to reset it themselves, then saying no responsibility if data is lost - but it’s not my fault either?! It’s an OK host - you get what you pay for…

Gone downhill massively of late - five major outages in the last two months, the latest of which started took over 12 hours for a fix, which the broke something else… get it sorted Daily, or we’re off to Azure…

I’m having the worst time in trying to get the customer support to understand why I believe I have been overcharged. I really do regret that I have renewed until November 2012 - I could put the full support tickets on here - but they are too many on the same question, yet so many different answers. Other than feeling I have been conned - the way they treat you if you question the customer service your getting is terrible. I asked them to phone me - they said they had booked a call in - I have not been contacted. I’m only a small user have 4 main websites. I have spent over £800 with daily over the last two years. DO NOT USE DAILY
